About the Project:
Client: Everglades Nurseries Ltd
Our client, Everglades Nurseries Ltd is a family run business with 65 years of experience in growing and selling quality trees, shrubs and hardy ornamental nursery stock to the trade and retail.
Based in Ulnes Walton, Lancashire, they provide a nationwide service to landscapers, local authorities, garden designers and the general public. They offer a wide selection of plants ranging from deciduous and evergreen shrubs, herbaceous plants, hedging, exotics, and topiary to container, root-ball and bare root trees.
Everglades contacted us following an accident in which a van had reversed into the corner of their glasshouse, causing significant structural damage. The impact compromised both the integrity and safety of the affected section, requiring urgent assessment and repair.
The Process:
Our team carried out a full inspection of the damage before carefully dismantling the impacted area to prevent further risk. The corner of the Robinsons glasshouse was rebuilt and loose bars were re-bolted, ensuring consistency in both performance and appearance. The glazing that had been damaged during the collision was also replaced.
Throughout the project, care was taken to minimise disruption to the client’s operations and to ensure all works were completed safely and efficiently.
The Result:
The repaired glasshouse was fully restored to its original condition, with the damaged corner seamlessly rebuilt to match the existing structure. The integrity and safety of the building were reinstated, allowing the client to resume normal use without concern.
By combining careful dismantling, precise installation, and attention to detail, the finished result provides a durable and visually consistent solution. The client now benefits from a fully functional glasshouse with no visible signs of the previous damage, ensuring long-term reliability and continued performance.
